I can't answer John Haas's question regarding the eBird state
checklists with any authority except to suggest that eBird might
follow the checklists maintained by the appropriate state
organizations, in this case the New York State Checklist published by
the New York State Ornithological A
The topic of the Hooded Crow reminded me of something I had noted last winter
and never addressed. I couldn't help but notice that all mention of the Hooded
Crow has been deleted from the New York and New Jersey Checklists on e-bird.
When you bring up the bar charts, Hooded Crow is not there.
