For birders coming from the east, take exit 5 (ramp on the right); at the light, turn left and pass under the Belt; park in the large metered lot near Kohl's. Otherwise you'd have to go well past the site before you could turn around to reach the waterfront lots accessed from the eastbound Belt

I missed the Purple Sandpipers but got the Common Goldeneye (and maybe saw a small flock in the distance), a lone Bonaparte's Gull, a lone Greater Scaup and a coup
