Nice day to get out and about - I made two quick trips to Forest Lawn this morning and one trip to Tifft this evening. Forest Lawn 7:30 am Canada Goose - 11 Wood Duck - 2 Downy Woodpecker - 2 Northern Flicker - 1 Eastern Phoebe - 1 - very vocal - near the Letchworth Mausoleum American Crow

There is a Northern Gannet associating with a mixed flock of gulls off the main bluff at the David Weld Sanctuary about 200 yards off the beach. While this may not be highly unusual I found it personally interesting. I spend quite a bit of time here and this is the first gannet I've noted at

I had a female White-winged Crossbill at 9:45 am this morning at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The bird was feeding in a large Norway Spruce in what I believe is section 27 (If you are at the Chapel, head towards the gazebo, the hill that is kitty-corner from the gazebo has several large Norway Spruce
