It's probably worth mentioning that between 1 and 3 Royal Terns have been observed in Brooklyn sporadically for at least a month. They've been spotted at various times between Dead Horse Bay, to the east, and Seagate, to the west. Several sighting have been along Plum Beach and Coney Island,

Steve, not sure if one could say that the northeastern Red-tails are becoming more sedentary with 1,363 having passed the Franklin Mtn hawk watch so far this season. That # is only a little shy of the total # of 1527 for last year. Just my thought. Larry Federman Education Coordinator
