I observed a white goose with many Canada geese in the northwest quadrant
of the parade grounds at Van Cortlandt Park today around 3:30 pm. I
believe it is a Snow Goose but would love more opinions (particularly the
kind that would make it a Ross's Goose!). Happy BirdingMartin Carney

The Snow Goose that Tom is referring to at Van Cortlandt Park, looks like this.
It has been there since 2016.

A Ross's looks like this
Thanks for the responses. Andrew: I have seen the Snow Goose you
photographed and the bird I saw today was not this same bird. The bird
today is a very clean white, which made me think Ross's. However, I did
observe the "grin-patch" characteristic of the Snow Goose, which Tom
confirmed after I
