from 11:55AM - 1:49PM. and again from 4:43-6:40PM. American Kestral
across the landing stripe.

I saw a Western Tanager today in my yard in Rockville Centre-a brief
stop but I had heard it much earlier in the day without knowing it. It
may still be in the neighborhood, though I see there is a lot of
movement right now. Keep a lookout!

Greetings all,
The Google Map link/coordinates posted by Jim Osterlund is correct. Sikorsky
Airport in Stratford, CT is very small and not too complicated to navigate.
From the NYS border on I-95 it is approximately 40 miles; from my house (near
the Stamford/Greenwich border) it's only a 45

Folks, I'm just passing the message along here - this is from the
Connecticut Birds list again, there ought to be follow-up on a
Kingbird that would be MORE of a rarity than a Northern Wheatear (or
two... if it is really GRAY.

details only locals might recognize. None the less, it would appear
that the fence involved is here, marked by the green arrow,
paralleling Great Meadow Road, marked with the red pointer;

1:49PM It is sitting on the fence feeding again providing great views
from the car. It is also flying back & forth from the corner in the
airport.
