The pond in question. Inexplicably, Google has labeled it with the
name of the larger pond to the east. The "Tung Ting" appellation
stems from the name of a restaurant once situated there.

At around 6:00 PM today there was a single male Eurasian Wigeon on Tung Ting
Pond on the corner of Centershore Road and 25a. This pond can be viewed from
the parking lot for the Chalet Motor Inn. The bird was molting into breeding
plumage.

Still some life on the East Pond. This morning from the south end of the East
Pond up to the raunt there were 8 Long-billed Dowitchers, 3 Pectoral
Sandpipers, lots of Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, 7 Least and 1 Semipalmated
Sandpiper. Peregrine Falcon 42 W (leg bands) was seen perched on the

Conservancy in Rye.
Highlights:
2 NELSON'S SPARROWS
2 SALTMARSH SPARROWS
5+ "sharp-tailed" Sparrow sp.
2 Clapper Rails (both seen well)
1 Red-breasted Nuthatch
49 species total.
