It was a long day on Staten Island. I was hoping for 50+ species. I felt the
key would be hitting at least 3 locations: NW Staten Island, Clove L
I was optimistic that predicted overnight south winds would bring a
spring fallout to Brooklyn, so spent from 6:30am to around 9am in
Prospect Park. The fallout never materialized. Plus, yesterday's birds
either departed, expired or had more sense than me and stayed out of

A pleasant hike at Sunken Meadow State Park yesterday(4-24-10) from
7:45am-11:00am got me my FOS Yellow warbler and Common Yellowthroat; the former
was singing at the edge of the forest and marsh along the Inner Marsh trail at
