Hugh McGuinness) had grown to 7 birds this morning with at least 3 *WILSON'S

I think you need to be a little bit careful in using of the term 'Bahamas
Plover'. To many readers, the use of a distinct name (especially with a
capital 'P' in plover) implies the existence of a discrete Bahamas
population that is somehow different from other Piping Plovers. This is

Latisha Coy, a piping plover steward for New York State Parks in Montauk, NY
re-sighted a Bahamas Plover this afternoon. The individual was marked on New
Providence, The Bahamas on January 17, 2010. This is the 14th confirmed Bahamas
plover to be re-sighted on beaches in Atlantic Coast
The Prothonotary is at the base of the steep stairs from the Castle to the
Maintenance meadow slightly to the right of the wildlife. Dogs on leash sign.

I just got off the phone with Shane Blodgett. He's looking at a White-
faced Ibis at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. The bird is in the south
marsh about 100 yards east of the Osprey platform.
