This evening I found a female/1st-summer *WILSON'S PLOVER* on the flat at
the south end of Sag Pond (aka Sagg Mains) in Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co.
Fortunately, Hugh McGuinness and Brian Kane were nearby and joined me in
time to see it. If you look for the plover tomorrow, I'd recommend scanning

A modest movement of passerines were noted at JBWR this morning. I
totaled fifteen species of the commoner warblers in the garden, with Blackpoll
and Magnolia Warblers making up a good number of the birds observed. The
White-faced Ibis continues on the West Pond, this time observed feed
Eastern Wood Pewee singing and seen, Indigo Buntings, female warblers
strutting their stuff, a termite hatch with a Robin vying for the Guinness
Book of World Records for the most termites consumed in 30' (amazing.) and
crippling views of a Bay- breasted warbler. What could be better than this
?
The Wilson's Phalarope found this afternoon by Steve Walter was still in the
same location between benches 11 and 12 on the West Pond @ Jamaica Bay Wildlife
Refuge (JBWR). Also seen today on the West Pond around bench 1 was the
White-faced Ibis. Good luck if you go.
Good and responsible birdin
I entered the park at 90th St and Central Park West around 8:40AM and
walked south under the trees on the path between the running path and
the Bridal Path. Birds were singing and flitting through those trees in
impressive numbers. Not very far down, at about the level of 88th
Street, I spotted
