At 11am there were 4 Buff-breasted Sandpipers on the small field adjacent to
the Aviator Sports parking lot in Floyd Bennett Field. They were associating
with a flock of 18 Killdeer. They were still present when I left at 12:50pm.
There were an additional 40 Killdeer on the small grass field jus
Sep 16.
Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) birded the barrier beaches this morning We stopped
at Jones West End and the swale very briefly at each, routed by MOSQUITOES.
They're back in force; beware, The bar was empty and the swale is dry, so we
didn't miss much.
We proceeded east stopping at Fiel
At the volleyball courts at the east end of RMSP Field 2 this morning there was
a Blue Grosbeak, Clay-colored Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow, and two flyby Royal
Terns. The three passerines were observed in the vicinity of a dead (no leaves)
Autumn Olive that is on the right (south side) of the dirt

Two Opororornis [genus] warbler species were reported from the Ramble
Wednesday, each seen by some of Starr Saphir's group, led by Starr,
both sightings coming roughly between 10 & 11 a.m. in the area a bit
north of the Azal
