This afternoon my wife Danika and I found a BOREAL CHICKADEE on Cook Hill Road
in the Partridge Run WMA in Southwest Albany County. We had just come across 2
RED CROSSBILLS up the road and had the windows down driving slowly, as we
passed a small Beaver Pond, it was then that I

A quick run through Scott to Summerhill (Cortland to Cayuga county) this
morning yielded scattered
small numbers of PINE SISKINS, a FEW flyover EVENING GROSBEAKS
(Summerhill),
1 COOPER'S HAWK (Scott), 2 Red-tailed Hawks, a few HORNED LARKS, and
2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS near Lick St and
A morning spent in Central Park from Belvedere Castle moving north turned up a
modest flight as far as diversity was concerned. In Central perhaps the most
noteworthy thing was the nearly overwhelming numbers of Juncos, nearly
constantly streaming over the Castle in the early morning. Among
Wednesday, 10 November, 2010 - Central Park (Manhattan, N.Y,. City)
again featured a number of species but the flights seemed fewer in
number & variety than the previous day's. Vultures were on the move
again, only Turkey Vulture being noted this time, while Bald Eagle
