Brad Walker, Shawn Billerman, Nick Sly, and I birded various spots
along Cayuga and Seneca lakes today before making our way up to the
Rochester area and other points along Lake Ontario. It was pretty
quiet in general, but we saw a few interesting birds, most of which
have already been reported.

My sister Barbara and I birded a few spots in and around Bridgehampton, Suffolk

The two highlights were
1) a beautifully plumaged YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT at the end of Dune Rd, east side

An afternoon trip today (12/11) to the Lenoir Preserve in Yonkers produced

A fairly gusty wind from the NW made for a crisp morning of birding yesterday.
Here are some of the highlights:
2 ICELAND GULL - both gulls were seen around the Montauk Harbor/inlet area near
Gosman's. One of the gulls was a 3rd winter bird and the other was younger,
possibly a 2nd winter. Hear
