Seen from the 51st St. overlook on the East River at 6:25p just west of the
park heading south. Typical buoyant flight with wings held in a strong
dihedral while gliding. I've seen this species many times over Central
Park. This is a first outside that location.

Today I spotted seven Great Egrets east of the City Island traffic circle
in the marsh pond just outside Orchard Beach in the Bronx, NY. In the

A HY Purple Finch was heard and observed at close range in Clove Lakes
