The Whip-poor-will is still present, again sleeping on the same branch
of the same tree at the top of the path along the stream, up from the
west side of Evodia towards maintenance. The dappled sunlight is
quite lovely on him this morning.
Various warblers on my brief walk through the Ramble this
September 18 - Jim Pawlicki and I took a ride down to Allegany Reservoir.
In Onoville, along west Perimeter Road, there were:
2 Eastern Wood Pewees
3 Black-throated Green Warblers
2 Wilson's Warblers
2 Tennessee Warblers
10! Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
3 Scarlet Tanagers
4 Purple Finches
3 Ruby-thro
For the second time in less than a week I found a Connecticut Warbler at the
Deli Fields area of the Bashakill WMA. The first was found on 9/14 (see earlier
post) and the second was found this morning in the same hedge row approximately
