other comments. Yes, it does appear that my friend in NH heard a
Black-capped Chickadee, not an Eastern Phoebe -- an honest mistake.

covering upstate NY counties: Cayuga, Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge
and Montezuma Wetlands
Rick and I were in the same location around noon and saw a remnant
group of Pipits there. They soon took off and flew toward the
westward tree line. There was a large flock of Horned Lark south of
there on the east side of a Depot Lane sod field, Cutchogue. Several
Snow Buntings were mixed
Here is some more on the Buffalo, NY Tufted Duck.
The bird is very close to the New York side of the Niagara River.
>From Ontario - after crossing the Peace Bridge go through the traffic
light. This will put you on Baird Ave.
At the end of Baird turn left on to Porter Ave. Go on Porter
This is a reminder that The Captain Lou Fleet is partnering with Paulagics to
run a 12-hour (that means deeper water than the winter trips run in NYS last
few years) pelagic trip out of Freeport, Long Island (Nassau County, near Jones
Beach) on March 2 (two Saturdays from now).
