Good Evening All;
I received an e-mail from a Jersey birder, Mr. Bernstein (see below), with
regards to the morning sighting of the *Varied Thrush* at Prospect Park in
Brooklyn. He has given me permission to forwards his note to the list
serve. I think his observation may help birders in
Just wondering if anyone has information about birding Battery Park. I work
downtown and generally do not have time to get up to Central Park or down to
Prospect Park during the work week.
Thanks,
Matt

Just to make sure this is clear. Not since Seth's report this morning
has the Varied Thrush been seen. Hoping for a positive report before
end of day.

The Varied Thrush at Prospect Park has been a no show despite careful
searching by a number of birders. For those of you still searching,
please put out a post at the end of the day even if the update is
negative.
if the report is positive, please include as much details as possible
of the
Baldwin Park at foot of Grand Ave, Baldwin 10 Mar. Park at the soccer field
lot between soccer and baseball fields. .
I stopped by to see if the Osprey had returned. NO! (facing ball field, top of
first light pole to your left)
A pair of MINK PARAKEETS were resting on the super structure
Though the Snow Goose flock at the Camel Farm took off this morning, they
returned in about an hour. Down to about 1,000 birds at this time, the Ross's
Goose was immediately spotted. They remained at the farm for the remainder of
the morning and were still present when we passed by at 1 pm.
I'm a first time poster so forgot to leave some information. Tufted Duck was
swimming around several hours @ Huntington Pond and was there when I left
yesterday at 1 pm.
