Tonight, upon a request from some birders who were on my impromptu Sunday walk
wanted to see the bird after their miss then, I refound the VARIED THRUSH
(VATH) . After looking along the southern slope of Quaker Ridge from the bridle

After a week on vigilant woodcock watch finally spotted 3 pm among daffodil
shoots surrounding birdbath behind restrooms at 42nd Street.

Prospect Park 20 Mar
Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) found the VARIED THRUSH a bit after 10:00 AM this
morning, our first stop in the park, and asked Rob to post to the NY List
(which he did). Although cold, the sun was bright presenting a nice early
Spring day.
The early migrants were 3 EASTERN
