Warbler found in the Ramble (and following one on Saturday 4/13, at Manhattan's
Inwood Hill Park); a nice ongoing mix of other typical mid-April migrants as

6:00 PM: Along with Cesar Castillo and Johnna Vullo, standing at the end of the
dock by the Great River Fire Rescue boat, looking directly across the water, we
had great views of the two ruff along the edge of the marsh.

Warbler being seen now on path east of million tree site, low and close. This
is the path that loops from the ball field parking lot, along the Grand Central
and then down to the conifers south of Little Alley Pond.

Hello All, I hiked into Maple Swamp,[Pleasure Drive, Flanders], this
morning and found a perched flock of fourteen Red Crossbills by the
inner pond. Other birds in the vicinity were 2 Blue Gray Gnatcatcher, 2
Palm Warblers, many Ruby Crowned Kinglets, Yellowrumped Warblers,lots of
Pine Warbler,
Enjoyed a nice mid-morning bird walk around Oakland Lake Park. The lake edge,
especially the southern side, was pretty active with a variety of early Spring
migrants. Had quite a few individuals of both Kinglets, one Blue-grey
Gnatcatcher, half a dozen Palm Warblers, same for Yellow-rumped, an

One ruff was present in the marsh next to the East marina parking lot at
Timber point GC in Great River this morning around 11:15. After a few
minutes it wandered off into the marsh grasses and was hidden. Thanks
to all for directions and updates.

Erik Miller just called to report that the YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER
continues just near the area where it was seen yesterday. He has heard it
sing a few times, but this time the bird is foraging higher up unlike
yesterday when a few of us had it on the ground and at eye level.
