At Shinnecock Inlet this morning, the large number of gulls included 2
(perhaps 3) immature Iceland Gulls and almost certainly 2 Glaucous Gulls.
Three male Boat-tailed Grackles were on Dune Road at the Ponquogue Bridge
access, displaying a little to each other. A Snowy Owl was in the marsh
west
I decided to check some of my favorite Roslyn Hotspots today. Gerry Park
had six *Gadwalls, *eighty *Mallards*, including an albino female,
twenty-six *Canada Geese*, and the resident pair of *Mute Swans.* Two *American
Coots were also present.* On the ice, there sat 100 *Ring-billed
Gulls,
The previously reported Black Vulture near Church Lane in riverhead made a fly-
by appearance this morning

For those of you in the area who might be interested. There was a 3rd
cycle Lesser Black-backed Gull and a 1st cycle Iceland Gull at Long Beach.
The gulls kept cycling up and down the beach so be patient if you don't
connect with them immediately.
