Hi Everyone,
My daughter wanted to go to Tackapausha to see her "baby owl friend"
(actually a Screech Owl) in the exhibit building and then later decided she
also wanted to explore the trails and see the ducks at the pond. (of
course I didn't object) We didn't see much on the trails: just one or
Corey Finger and had a good day birding eastern Long Island today. We started
at Shinnecock Inlet where there was a female KING EIDER among 310 or so Common
Eiders in the bay. An almost all white SNOWY OWL was along Dune Road. We then
went to Further Lane in East Hampton where 3 GREATER WHITE
This morning I observed a Ross's Goose in a farm field along the north side of
CR-48 just west of Horton's Avenue in Southold. The bird was located at the far
north end of the field and viewing was less than ideal and too distant to rule
out hybrid. I returned later around 11:00 AM to find the R

to not start painting our kitchen set, which I sanded yesterday, while ?
found the above ! Once there, (~1015) it didn't take long to find the
Pink-footed, which was on the far side (looking from between the 1st & 2nd
