Nickerson Beach 4 June, late afternoon
Alerted by Ed Becker, I went to Nickerson Beach, joined in the parking lot by
Bob Anderson. We found Joe Viglietta, on the beach in front of the tern
colony, looking at a pair of ROSEATE TERNS. One bird was a banded sub-adult and
the other an adult. The
I learned today from a building owner that the BBC was on his roof filming
THREE young Peregrines in their Atlantic Avenue scrape for a documentary to be
released in 2016. I've still only seen, and now heard, two from the street.

The 10th Annual Adirondack Birding Festival will be held Friday, June 13
through Sunday, June 15. This 3 day event features field trips in Hamilton,
western Essex, and southeastern St. Lawrence Counties. There are no
registration fees. All field trips are free and you must register for

I found Olive-sided Flycatchers at two remote areas in Spring Pond Bog. On
the way home, I drove through Sabattis Circle Road and found two adult Gray
