On Friday, August 8 at 4:45 about an hour 15 minutes before high tide, I saw
a Whimbrel with 3 Royal Terns and 4 Herring Gulls at the West Hampton Dunes
Overlook. The sandbar was just covered with water at this time. Earlier, at
Cupsogue, there were 31 Red Knots along with the standard fare. The Sp
A Great Egret continues for the last 4 days at the Stone Store Forest Wetland
on State Route 145, in Broome, Schoharie County, New York. Two Great Blue
Herons also flew in to this site while observing the Egret.

The Lark Sparrow was found again this afternoon in field 2 of Robert Moses
State Park around 1:00pm. The ranges along the north side of the parking
lot from the closed west entrance to the open east exit. Observers besides
myself included Carson Wood, Mike Schiebel, Ed Becher and Bob Anderson.

Hi Everyone,
Just a FYI that I found a tagged Herring Gull at Orient Point
yesterday...green tag "E85" metal tag "185" with small writing that I can't
make out yet. Will report it and see what I can find out. Other than
that, not much going on there from 6 - 8pm.
