Another year birding the vacant grounds of Van Cortlandt Park pre-Thanksgiving
dinner. Morning snow hampered things somewhat. Lots of Canada Geese but
nothing special. When snow lifted I followed along the southeast corner a
large (over 100) flock of Horned Larks and a much smaller (a dozen)

change in # of species and color codings based on species # plus updating

No luck with the kingbird despite it being seen 20 minutes before I arrived. At that time it was on the black fence south of the picnic area and old fields. Multiple birders have been searching. A single Cackling Goose was in a V of Canadas. Dan ScheimanLittle Rock, ARSent from Xfinity Connect
Bird flew east toward Ecology village about 15 minutes after first spotting at
~7:15 am- not refound there or back at community garden area in the interim- at
~ 10:30 am I did see again very briefly on the black fence at the south
entrance to Floyd (the one with the booth) but by the time

was an Osprey an hour ago on a branch overlooking the Swan River in East
Patchogue, viewed from the Swezey Street bridge (just south of the RR
tracks and the new Town of Brookhaven "Swan River Preserve" next to
Friendlys).

Seems a bit late in the season so thought I would put it out there. There
