At 3:40 pm today I saw a *Black-headed Gull* fishing on the East River, east of Icahn Stadium at latitude 116th Street. Perhaps this is the same gull that has been sighted in recent weeks passing over the 70th Street Pier on the Hudson River just before sundown. David Barrett

Another interesting adult Iceland Gull was in the Jones Beach West End 2 parking lot during the mid-day today. Characteristics included a rather large, angular head, pale but not yellow eye, and blackish wing tips. To my eye, the overall size appeared a tad larger than the closest Herring Gull. It
