[nysbirds-l] Very late Purple Martins in scores

This morning at 8:30, I had 2-3 scores of PM's flying around my gourds, but none landed. Instead they preferred the electronic antennas on top of the masts of sail boats. I counted about 25 on one mast, there were 3 sail boat masts they perched on. I have been having same numbers which landed on

[nysbirds-l] C. Gallinule and Pectoral Sandpipers. Suffolk co.

40 minutes in the park this morning yielded a yellow breasted chat (this one in the thickets before driving up road to nature center), also first Palm warbler of season, a black throated blue, a few kestrels and Charlie Roberto picked up a Merlin. Incredibly in yet another County faux pas at
