This morning Sandy Paci and Kathy Toomey spotted a Clay-colored Sparrow in
Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery. Joshua Malbin and I were able to eventually
track it down again at about 2pm. The bird came down to drink and bathe inside
the mostly drained Dell Water pond. There is a trickle of water
The bird reappeared in the front side of the church. Broadway and Pine street.

Yesterday morning at 6:20 AM two flew out of the same gourd(next to the
gourd they fledged out of on August 31) when they heard me on the dock.
I have seen these birds coming to the colony around 7PM Saturday.
The previous weeks there were as many as 5 birds going into the same gourd,
which makes
75 Broadway in lower Manhattan (just north of Rector Street) – one of oldest
churches in Manhattan, so in an otherwise largely concrete jungle there is a
good amount of greenery/grass BUT Connecticut and Mourning in one day -- wow.

parula, restart, and black throated blue. Mourning warbler seen earlier has not
been refound thus far.
