2 Caspian Terns. Continuing adult and young bird spent most of time on spit in
front of island.
The Godwit and plover both stayed on the pond for about a minute each.

A WOOD STORK was photographed on private property in the Town of Eden, Erie
County on Friday. The bird, apparently, roosted overnight in a pine tree but
disappeared Saturday morning before 9:00 a.m. and has not been seen since.

This afternoon around 3pm I watched two caspian terns (an adult and what
was presumably a HY bird) cruise north up the Hudson River from about
Chelsea until I lost them in the heat haze south of the GW bridge.
A friend of mine also had one this morning fly in off Manhattan Bay and

The hummingbird was showing well around the visitor center of Morton NWR for
the last hour or so. It is visiting the north feeder mostly, and seems to
prefer perching in the walnut on the north side of the restroom building.
We obtained several spread tail shots and the bird appears to be a Ruf
