I did a seawatch at two different times, both from Flying Point Beach in South
Hampton, Long Island yesterday. The first, from about 6:20 to 10:45pm, the
other, from about 1:00 to 3:30pm. The standout was an eastbound adult BROWN
BOOBY flying fast a low. Also notable were two birds that did not
The Connecticut warbler has continued showing to observers through the
afternoon. There's still time for an after work twitch...

Had the great fortune of finding a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER
among KILLDEER along a very low Susquehanna river at Murphy's Pits Vestal
NY in Broome County this morning.
This appears to be a first Broome County record at least via ebird. We will

I've been dropping in on my favorite Midtown pocket park over the past couple
of weeks and have spotted three different species of warbler, thus far, this
"Fall". Last week had an Ovenbird, a Northern Waterthrush and a Common
Yellowthroat -- plus an immature American Robin.

Possible first record for Broome Co. BUFF BREASTED SANDPIPER foraging on
gravel bars and muddy areas by boat launch Murphy's pits. Bird likely can
be seen from guard rail River rd Endwell NY too. Will post photos later.
