For those thinking of trying tomorrow, it should be noted that the Chat started ranging over a wider area after spending the morning in the area noted below. I last saw it at the start of the West Pond trail, under the large cedar on the right (next to the lower entrance to the south garden). And

Anders Thank you for the interesting write up. Seems like those two days in March gave NY County the single day county high watermark for woodcock in the state. The number of snipe a few weeks back at Croton Point park reaching 15 one afternoon in two fairly confined areas in close proximity
