OBS: Robert DeCandido, PhD, m.ob., on bird walk starting from the dock on
Turtle Pond at 9am.
Highlights: 15 species of Wood Warblers, White-eyed Vireo, and Orchard Oriole.
Mallard - Turtle Pond
Double-crested Cormorant - Turtle Pond
Great Egret - Turtle
The previously reported (on HMBC) female RUFF (aka Reeve) is being seen now at
the northeast corner of Wrights Loop Rd. Saratoga Co

Suffolk, LI, around noon today.

Kind of an odd assortment.

a pair of Canada Geese
passed one Yellow-rumped

The West Pond Trail will open again (after a very frustrating delay in funding)
next week. The Visitor Center will reopen to seven days a week when the summer

Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) met there prior to heading for Jamaica Bay. A
quick check before leaving turned up a SOLITARY SANDPIPER, WARBLING and
RED-EYED VIREO, NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH (heard only), a few Warblers and a
BALTIMORE ORIOLE.
