Tonight in 110 minutes of watching we counted 134 nighthawks. For last night (Tuesday), the night before that, and the night before that we had 27, 26, and 17 nighthawks, respectively. As usual, toward dusk half a dozen birds came down lower to feed over the pond. Howard Fischer and I just had a Franklin's Gull fly over Miller Field on Staten Island.
