The previously reported Townsend's Solitaire seen in hedgerows off High
Valley Road in Taconic State Park, Columbia County, was heard calling late
this afternoon in the general vicinity where it had been hanging out;.[BTW:
this park is not near the Taconic State Parkway or Lake Taghkanic State

Went to look for the Golden-crowned sparrow in Downsville today with no luck.
In fact there were no White-throated sparrows at all anywhere in the area the
two hours I was there from about 10:15 to 12 noon or so. There were the usual
4 or 5 tree sparrows and a few juncos at the feeders, but ot
