Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)






     4/17: A DUNLIN was seen on the Wildlife Drive.

     4/18: A MARSH WREN was again heard on the Wildlife Drive. 2 SANDHILL 
CRANES were seen at the Audubon Center.

     4/19: 42 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS were seen in the Main Pool. A BROAD-WINGED 
HAWK was seen on Esker Brook Trail. A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen on the Wildlife 
Drive. A SANDHILL CRANE was seen from East Road. A PEREGRINE FALCON, a COMMON 
GALLINULE and a SAVANNAH SPARROW were seen at Carncross Road.

     4/20: A BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was seen on Armitage Road.







Cayuga County






     4/15: A LITTLE GULL was seen at West barrier Bar park in Fair Haven.







Derby Hill Bird Observatory






     It was a slow week at Derby. Only 1,778 Hawks were counted and no day had 
over a thousand Hawks. Only 1 GOLDEN EAGLE was seen. Other highlights were 2 
RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS and a SAVANNAH SPARROW.







Oswego County






     A m,ale and female SURF SCOTER were seen together at Three Mile Bay on 
Oneida Lake. A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen at Oswego Harbor.

     4/19: A VESPER SPARROW was seen in Williamston.

     4/20: BANK SWALLOWS and CLIFF SWALLOWS were seen over the Oswego river in 
Phoenix.







Onondaga County






     4/14: A SORA was heard at the Ladd Road Marsh in Cicero

     4/15: A female DICKCISSEL is still being seen at a home on Limeledge Road 
in Marcellus.

     4/18: A SAVANNAH SPARROW was seen at Cedar Bay Park in Fayetteville. 2 
BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS and a COMMON GALINULE were seen at 3 Rivers WMA north of 
Baldwinsville.

     4/19: 2 BROWN THRASHERS were seen at Green Lakes State Park. A SPOTTED 
SANDPIPER was seen on the West Shore Trail of Onondaga Lake. A SPRA was again 
found at the Ladd Road marsh in Cicero.







Madison County






     4/17: A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was seen on Ditchband Road north of Canastota.

     4/19: 3 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS and a SAVANNAH SPARROW were seen on 
Ditchbank road.







Oneida County






     4/18: A late ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen near Poland.







Herkimer County






     4/15: A BROWN THRASHER was seen at Salisbury Corners north of Middleville.
