Went to look today for the White Pelican at the Ashoken Reservoir that was
reported on ebird but never here hoping to get it and boy were we in luck
today. Finally got it around 1:30pm on a sandbar point directly across from
Woodstock Dike viewed from Dike Rd. Went to view it on the dike and o

New York metro area where you are supposed to be a town or county resident, but
if you arrive before a certain time, such as 8:00am, no one is there to stop
you from parking. No one checks you as you later drive out.
Or go early and leave the parking lot by 9:00 am

We recorded the second highest total ever last night (breaking the previous
second highest total established the night before) with 487 nighthawks seen,
