On Jamaica Bay's East Pond, there was a Buff-breasted Sandpiper on the sand spit north of the Raunt late this morning - for a little while until a Peregrine caused everything to shuffle. Also present were at least 6 Western Sandpipers and 2 Pectoral Sandpipers. Overall numbers of shorebirds look

Hi all, Not sure if this made it to the NYS listserve yet, but Kyle Gage (CONGRATS!!!) found a Neotropic Cormorant at Batavia Wastewater Treatment Plant in Genesee County. The bird continues *today* good luck if you go. REMINDER: the facility closes at 3 PM sharp and the gates are locked. DO
