I saw the Western Tanager in Carl Schurz Park (Manhattan, about 86th and

spot described by Tom Fiore yesterday. A Baltimore Oriole visited the spot

Well, I sent the unhold command and since then have gotten several messages
from the list, most recently about the King Eider in Brooklyn. If you
haven't sent the unhold but are seeing list messages, then it's not needed.
If it is needed, then... would affected people see a message from the
admin?

front of the library (Fifth Avenue side, that is), two Yellow-Bellied

that I think
was a Lincoln's. All the sparrows seemed to like a mud puddle just
outside the fence east of the big tree.
Plus the usual ubiquitous White-Throated and House Sparrows, Blue

enjoying the insects being stirred up by the work. I also saw song

Warbler,
Black-and-White Warbler, more female/juvenile Redstarts, an Eastern
Kingbird; and a very brown medium-sized thrush with an eyering, whose
chest I couldn't see, probably a Veery.
At Azalea Pond, more Redstarts, including the first male I've seen
this summer, and a Black-and-White Warbler.
