A quick time restricted pass at Robert Moses State Park was highlighted by a

A quick walk through the interior (on the service road behind the maintenance
yard) of Heckscher State Park from ~1-215 was similar to Luke Ormand's
experience at Carman's River in that it produced little of note.
Lone Yellow Warbler, Blue Gray Gnatcatcher and Ovenbird highlighted the walk.

Field 7 is currently hosting 5 species of gull, notably a lesser black back and
some laughing gulls. Also present are greater black back, herring and ring
billed. With the intensity of the wind and rain increasing, looks like they
will be grounded for a while.
Also, had a first of season

A quick (10-15 minutes) mid-day scoping of the north end of Argyle Lake in
Babylon proved rather productive. The previously reported Red-necked Grebe was
feeding by itself near the bridge, and approached within a few feet of the
shoreline at times. A Peregrine Falcon perched on the sand

A drive through Orient St. Park late Saturday afternoon with Lee, Michael and

tree hopping on the marshes north/west of the roadway, while the other was seen
on the rock jetties to the south. Other birds of note
