What is the usual date for goslings to be out with the adults in WNY? While
walking this evening, a local pair of geese were out with about 7 goslings - we
thought it was early.

We spent a short time on the refuge today early afternoon. Besides the geese
and gulls, many coots in one area. Also a heron seen. We saw our first of the
season pair of ospreys and a pair of blue winged teal. We watched a pied-bill
grebe enjoying playing with a freshly caught small fish.
