[nysbirds-l] vulture nest nomore

Well, just saw today that the confirmed black vulture nest in Scarsdale is no 
more.  They started tearing the home down today.  Only seen the adults 
receently so think the chick didn't make it.  Seems a little early for 
fledging.  Maybe not but you'd think it would be with the adults still if it 
had fledged in the last few weeks.  Of course DEC was useless, totally blew me 
off when I reported it back in early June.  A shame they don't care more.  Not 
surprised though.  I hope the adults find a new place next year.  It was fun 
while they were there.
