A lovely day (10/27) at the watch here, with the highlight 4 subadult Golden Eagles, a really nice daily total for Chestnut Ridge. The first bird that passed was relatively close, and digiscoped pictures taken then allowed it to be aged as a Basic I. The three others that showed about 20 minutes later were soaring together in the same scope view at one point (!).
Other highlights included a N. Goshawk, 7th of the season for the watch, and a total of 27 Red-shouldereds for the day.
