Highlights: Eleven Species of Wood Warblers including Prothonotary and Blackburnian Warblers and Black-billed Cuckoo. The Prothonotary Warbler was first reported at Turtle Pond on Wednesday August 11th by Vincent Ladevaia @vondoom on twitter via the Manhattan Bird Alert @BirdCentralPark, with two individuals confirmed there by several photographers. Prothonotary Warblers continuted at Turtle Pond through Friday. Today (Saturday Aug. 14th) we saw a male Prothonotary Warbler at two locations Oak Bridge at the Upper Lobe, and in Mugger's Wood in the Ramble. Unless otherwise noted, birds in the following list were observed on Saturday morning.
