A black-bellied plover was feeding on the low tide mud flats by the Croton train station 8:30-9:00am morning with a group of three killdeer.
Two eastern kingbirds were flycatching and vocalizing nearby and a group of eight Canada goose goslings (perhaps a week old) were also seen with two nearby adults. An orchard oriole was seen singing around 9:00am on the wooded slope across from the ballfield at the entrance of Croton Point Park. -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
