Got a brief glimpse of the Harris's Sparrow at 2:30pm this afternoon,
confirming that it still is present in the yard at 579 Meadowdale Road,
Altamont, NY.
The Harris' popped out into the open for just a moment on the edge of the
small fenced-in garden beyond the driveway on the south side of

A Harris's Sparrow found yesterday in Altamont, Albany County by Larry
Alden reappeared briefly this afternoon after a two-hour wait. The bird was

The kind and generous homeowners hosting the Harris's Sparrow and visiting
birders have requested a little break in birder activity.
They ask that they regain a little privacy Thanksgiving Day and
Friday...They will be having family and friends coming and going those days.

The bird came for all about 2 mins.

With great appreciation to the kind homeowners who have allowed birders access
to view this bird, and to Rich Guthrie for making the arrangements, Denise and
I saw the Harris's Sparrow with many other birders this morning, several times
between 10 AM and 11:15 AM.
We, along with others, were

So birders are again welcome to come and visit the yard to watch for the
Harris's Sparrow (and Bohemian Waxwing?).
Today and tomorrow (Sunday) are now OK.
