A cold weather front brought out some typical November migrants in good numbers at West End this morning. Highlights included Red-winged Blackbird (4,400), Robin (1200), and American Goldfinch (175). Present in small numbers were Rusty Blackbird (10), American Pipit (9), and Purple Finch (3). At

Highlights of the late morning and afternoon at JBSP included a pair of Gull-billed Terns on the sandbar at the West End Marina and the stunning Red-headed Woodpecker on Bay Parkway (Thanks to Sam Janazzo & Bob Kurtz for the heads-up). A few photos of the woodpecker are at my flickr site. Ken
