Joe Giunta and I(Sy Schiff) went to Alley Pond Park to the pond with the
RED-NECKED GREBE. We parked on a side street, walked across to the pond and
found the bird. There are also REDHEADS, LESSER SCAUP and a PIED-BILLED GRBE
there.
>From there we went to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. On the West Pond, 24 TUNDRA
>SWANS were sleeping. Occasionally one would pick up its head for an ID.
>Great! Snow Geese were everywhere, even mixed in with the swans. A scope is
>needed in both places.
