Just to clarify the phalarope is located at Jones Beach West End (JBWE --
Nassau County) NOT Jamaica Bay wildlife refuge (JBWR Queens County).
These near identical acronyms looked like they might pose a problem for some.
Hope this helps avoid navigation errors and wasted days-offs in sear

Still feeding at 2nd pond when I arrived at 11:15am, observed with Brooklyn
birders Cathy and Karen. Flew to 1st pond (nearest to Nature Center) around
noon, where it sat at the far end and, after 30 minutes, flew left, possibly
into the phragmites area. Birders are at the location now, waiting
