Bird was seen on the paved path on the east side of the pond just under
overhanging shrubs over path. Bird moved off the path to the east and was
seen briefly moving north parallel to the path. The pond is directly east
and down the hill from the parking lot at Castle Gould. Heavily cropped in

the general public today. The preserve charges an entrance fee of $10.

As negative reports can be useful, I’ll say I was just in Clove Lakes Park for
the past ~ 2 hours and found neither the Thrush nor the Chat.
The Chat was, however, seen by another observer in the previously reported
location around 3:30 this afternoon.

The bird is a clove Lakes Park on the north side of Brooks pond behind the
church. It is just off of clove Road and the intersection of Forest Avenue. You
have to walk to the water and it has returned two times to a green tangle right
on the pond that is close to a thin ice sign and an exercise

The adult Varied Thrush was seen again by four observers in the vicinity of the
Yew tree near the Nethermead Arches from about 2:10 - 2:15 this afternoon. At
about that time, the bird flushed to cover and most of the ground foraging
birds in the area went quiet. A Red-Tailed Hawk perched nearby
Thanks to Rob B, Rob J, Keir R, Peter D and all, a great find for Prospect Park.
Should anyone happen to hear this Varied Thrush sing, or vocalize, please add
to your reports (and that could apply to any birds, as some observers are
keenly interested in sound as well as sighting the bird.

Should anyone happen to hear this Varied Thrush sing, or vocalize, please add
to your reports (and that could apply to any birds, as some observers are
keenly interested in sound as well as sighting the bird.
The adult Varied Thrush was seen again by four observers in the vicinity of the
Yew tree near the Nethermead Arches from about 2:10 - 2:15 this afternoon. At
about that time, the bird flushed to cover and most of the ground foraging
birds in the area went quiet. A Red-Tailed Hawk perched nearby

I viewed the Varied Thrush to the north of the pond by Belvedere Castle
at 40 46 49 N 73 58 6 W this morning along with Sam Stuart and Nate Stuart.
After approximately half an hour it flew south and we later viewed it in
the usual spot to the right of the maintenance building. This photo was
