WARNING:
My friend still has a couple siskins at her feeders in Scarsdale. I assume
they'll be heading north soon, but who knows they might stay to nest. It does
happen in these irruption years.

Had a large flock of siskins or redpolls fly off from a tree in my yard this am
in Yonkers. they called a little but not the typical siskin call so not 100%
sure which they were. Looking to be a big finch winter. Also, while fishing
in Verplanck I had five flocks of brant going south low over
For the last two days I've had 3+ Pine Siskins with goldfinches in my friends
yard in Scarsdale. Also may have had a Pine Warbler there today but not 100%
sure.

I opened the door to go outside this morning and my yard was loaded with
siskins who blended in extremely well with the ground. As soon as I came
outside they flew to adjacent trees or properties.. I have no feeder or
bird bath either. I'm a mile north from the Great South Bay in East
Patchogue.
