At least several dozen birders got to see the HARRIS'S SPARROW at the south end of the Central Park North Meadow, just west of the handball courts, this afternoon. The finder was Elizabeth Paredes, who quickly passed on the info to her husband John Anturi (@jhonny_2003 on Twitter), a frequent contributor of rare bird finds, photos, and videos on Manhattan Bird Alert, who passed the info along to us. A big thank you to them for getting us on this bird, an all-time first documented occurrence for Central Park and all Manhattan!
